Syrian rebels thwarted an attack launched by regime forces and allied National Defense (NDF) militias on al-Tadamoun neighborhood south of Damascus on Monday, a rebel source told Zaman al-Wasl.
Commander of Ansar al-Islam Front, Abu Ridha, said his fighters have also recaptured buildings previously controlled by regime forces in al-Tadamoun after fierce clashes, killing three NDF militants and wounding many others.
According to Abu Wisam al-Zoubi, the neighborhood’s spokesman, the Ansar al-Islam commander had refused the Syrian regime’s proposal for a long-term truce days ago.
