Hayat Tahrir al-Sham Denies Connection to Damascus Bombing

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham on Wednesday denied any connection to the two bombings which targeted the Justice Palace and a restaurant in the al-Rabwah area of Damascus.

Tahrir al-Sham said Wednesday on its official channel on Telegram it “was not connected to the two explosions in Damascus,” adding that its “targets were restricted to security branches and the military barracks of the regime and its allies.”

The two explosions shook the city of Damascus, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries according to the regime news agency SANA. The first blast targeted the Justice Palace building in the al-Hamadiyeh area in Damascus, followed by another bombing inside a restaurant in the al-Rabweh area, located in one of the popular promenade areas in the Syrian capital.
