Syria’s cabinet approved a cohesive plan for restoring public services, such as infrastructure, schools, communications, medical centers and police stations, to villages which the Syrian army has cleansed of terrorism, paving the way for the return of civilians.
In its weekly session chaired by Prime Minister Imad Khamis, the cabinet assigned Minister for Agriculture and Agrarian Reform Ahmad al-Qadiri with observing the services and economic situation in the province of Hassakeh following an official committee visit.
The cabinet also discussed a new bill on launching the Public Establishment for Metal Trade and Constructions Materials, and approved the budget of the Drought and Natural Disasters Fund, which is set at 3.7 trillion Syrian pounds, in addition to approving the 2018 technical and material work plan of the Fund.
It also approved the framework for improving conditions in private universities, which includes evaluating curricula, admission levels, fees and services.
Moreover, cabinet members prioritized the restoration and renovation of all schools in all areas as part of the reconstruction plan.
