President Assad Meets Union of Palestinian Communities and Organizations– Europe

Assad received on Monday members of the General Secretariat of the Union of Palestinian Communities and Organizations in Europe, according to SANA.

President Bashar al-Assad received on Monday members of the General Secretariat of the Union of Palestinian Communities and organizations– Europe which held its 5th general conference in Damascus.

President Assad welcomed the members of the delegation and demanded them to convey his greetings to all the participants in the conference.

President Assad considered that Syria’s relationship with the Palestinian cause is solid not only from a geographical or ideological point of view but also in terms of interests.

President Assad noted that any success for the Palestinian cause is a success for Syria.

President Assad affirmed that the Palestinian cause is strongly present today on the international scene thanks to the efforts of its loyal Palestinian communities abroad and the struggle of the resistance inside Palestine, and the awareness of the new generation of the importance of its cause, and its connection with it more and more.

His excellency said that the essential point in the work of Palestinian communities and activities abroad should focus on preserving identity and memory through future generations, as well as working to refute the lies that try to depict the Palestinian people as terrorists.

In turn, the members of the delegation affirmed that the success of their conference is due to the real support given by Syria to the Palestinian cause and considered that the organizing of the conference in Syria this year and on previous occasions demonstrates the originality of the Syrian people.

The members of the delegation said that their defence of Syria in the countries where they reside is also a defence of Palestine, and the war witnessed by the Syrian people revealed the falsehood of Western claims to defend freedoms and human rights.
