ISIS Executes Man in Raqqa

Jihadist fighters from the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) have executed a man in Syria's Raqqa province after accusing him of blasphemy, sources told Zaman al-Wasl.

Other activists said the fighter was killed after attempting to defect, which is not related to blasphemy.

"Unless ISIS disobedience makes him an infidel," they said.

In June 2013, ISIS executed a teenager in front of his parents after accusing him of blaspheming against the Prophet Mohammad.

Meanwhile, ISIS has arrested a number of the Hamza Brigade fighters after their refusal to pledge allegiance to ISIS in Tal Abyad, a town bordering Turkey, 50km north Raqqa.

The Hamza Brigade is operating under the ISIS leadership where its mission is to guard the strategic border crossing of Tal Abyad. But since shuttering the crossing by ISIS month ago, thousands of people have been strapped next to the borders in severe life conditions due to their inability to pass from and to Turkey.
