Syria’s air force Saturday carried out a number of airstrikes against Islamic State (ISIS) positions in the countryside of Palmyra, inflicting heavy losses to arms and personnel.
A military source told SANA that warplanes destroyed a number of the machine gun-equipped vehicles belonging to ISIS, killing scores of fighters in airstrikes in the surroundings of al-Maqale'a and to the west of al-Muthalath, a strategic area in the countryside of Palmyra.
