Large Turnout at Made in Syria Trade Expo in Baghdad

The Made in Syria exhibition taking place in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad witnessed a large turnout on its fourth day with the attendance of Iraqi businesspeople, traders and citizens.

The 20-day event is taking place at the Baghdad International Fair with the participation of 200 companies specialized in engineering, health, food and textile industries.

Iraq’s acting trade minister, Salman al-Jamili, and a number of officials toured the exhibition with the head of the Syrian Exporters Federation, Mohamad al-Sawah, who applauded the event’s success in meeting the needs of the Iraqi market.

Visitors of the exhibition voiced admiration over the development of Syrian industries despite the war and the coercive economic measures imposed on the Syrian people.
