Fatima Needs Treatment, Hopes Normal Childhood

Fatima, a 11-year-old displaced girl hopes she can get treatment for her burns, like every burned child in the war-torn country.

Fatima’s doctor, Yusuf Sheikhouni, says she needs surgery on her hands, eyes and ears, as well as a silicon mask and an artificial hair transplant.

Activists urge international organisations to help Fatima who is a victim of the Syrian regime bombing.

The Syrian conflict has devastated the lives of a generation of young people. Many of Syria’s children have missed years of their education, with 2.1 million children in Syria currently out of school, according to Save The Children organisation.
