Just 24 hours after the election of Ahmad Aasem al-Jarba as a Chairman of Syrian National Coalition, Chairman of National Bureau, Major
General Ali Mamlouk has asked the Ministry of Justice to issue a public motion against him.
A reliable source in the ministry told All4Syria that the minister ordered the Attorney General to move the claim against Jarba, accusing him of incitement and material support for terrorism. The crime carries a maximum punishment of death.
It is expected that the claim will go directly before the terrorism court, which was established for this reason.
Mamlouk issued a similar order recently against the prominent national figure and daughter of the leader of Great Syrian Revolution, Muntaha al-Atrash.
