Syria’s tourism minister has confirmed the establishment of a private security company providing services to protect tourists, expatriates, businessmen, and journalists, as well as services to protect tourist facilities across the country, including ministry hotels.

Minister Bishr Yazigi told Al-Watan that the company had been approved and an office had been set up at the Damascus international airport to offer services to arrivals, adding that work was currently underway to supply the company with the necessary personnel in expectation of the company offering services at all the border crossings at the start of next month.
