The Syrian Army continued operations against the armed terrorist groups in many areas across the country on Tuesday, killing huge numbers of terrorists and destroying their hideouts, gatherings and weaponry.
Security was restored in Assal al-Ward and Housh Arab in al-Qalamoun.
Units of the armed forces restored security and stability to the town of Assal al-Ward in Qalamoun in Damascus Countryside, a military source said.
The source said large numbers of terrorists were killed in the town, while the rest managed to flee.
Waving national flags, residents of Assal al-Ward greeted the army with flowers and rice.
Later, a military source told SANA that army units, in cooperation with National Defense Force members restored security and stability to Housh Arab town after killing large number of terrorists, destroying their weapons and ammunition.
The source added that the town's residents received soldiers of the army with flowers and rice to express appreciation for the army's sacrifices.
