Premier Khamis Visits Damascus International Trade Fair

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Imad Khamis paid a visit to the sixth day of the Damascus International Trade Fair, touring several pavilions and meeting several industrialists and businessmen, where he was briefed on their recommendations related to governmental facilities.

In the Syrian pavilion, Prime Minister Khamis inspected the sections of the Ministries, institutes, and the industrial and agricultural exhibits as well as the media center.

He was also briefed on the export contracts signed during the fair, lauding the reliability and reputation that Syrian products are enjoying in local and international markets.

The Prime Minister clarified that procedures have been taken by the government to support local industry and achieve economic development including export incentives, the reduction of customs duties, the provisions for loans and facilities for owners of affected facilities, as well as free shipping for export contracts signed at the fair and the facilitation of all administrative procedures relating to the signing of such contracts.
