30 civilians were killed and 43 others were injured in twin terrorist bombings in the Tartous countryside on Monday.
One of the two blasts was carried out by a car bomb which exploded at Arazona Bridge on the international highway in the Tartous countryside, followed shortly by a suicide bombing which targeted the same area after locals gathered to transport the wounded to hospital, a source at Tartous Police Command told SANA.
Head of Al-Basel Hospital in Tartous Mohammad Hussein said the death toll from the twin terrorist bombings has risen to 30 civilians, adding that 43 others were wounded.
Tartous Governor Safwan Abu Saadi inspected the site of the blast after visiting victims at Al-Bassel Hospital.
Five civilians killed, 2 others injured in terrorist bombing in Hassakeh city
Five civilians were killed and two others were injured in a bombing by an explosives-packed motorcycle north of Hassakeh city on Monday morning.
A security source told SANA that the bombing occurred when a motorcycle blew up at the Marsho roundabout north of Hassakeh city.
The terrorist bombing claimed the lives of five civilians and injured two others, also causing material damage to surrounding property, according to the source.
Death toll of Homs terrorist bombing rises to four, 10 injured
The death toll of the car bombing which took place at the entrance of the Bab Tadmur neighborhood in Homs city on Monday rose to four people while 10 others were injured.
Hassan al-Jindi, the director of the Homs Health Directorate, told SANA that the number of people killed in the explosion rose to four after two of the injured succumbed to their wounds.
SANA’s reporter indicated that the bombing caused material damage to a number of neighboring houses, in addition to setting alight a number of cars.
A person killed, three injured in a terrorist bombing in Damascus Countryside
A source at Damascus Countryside Police Command said that the terrorist bombing that took place on the road of Al-Sabboura/-Al-Bajja claimed the life of one person and injured three others.
