A car bomb hit al-Bared checkpoint in al-Ghab after midnight yesterday, killing at least 10 fighters from regime forces and pro-regime militias, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.


The Ahrar ash-Sham’s Media Office also reported 20 regime soldiers were killed and several others were injured when a car bomb exploded at al-Qahera checkpoint, near the village of al-Bared.


In a statement to Smart agency, the media office claimed a remote controlled car bomb targeted the checkpoint at 2am. "Ambulances were seen rushing to the village of Al-Suqaylabiyah, which is near the targeted checkpoint".


Regime helicopters dropped explosive barrels on areas in as-Sayyad village in the northern countryside of Hama, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.


The Observatory claimed areas in the village of Abu Khanadeq were bombed overnight by regime forces without any information on the number of injured. This morning, a bomb exploded on the road between Aqareb and al-Maboujah, leading to the death of a man.
