Bashar Assad's government has announced that it has allocated $150 million for the reconstruction of some of the affected areas in Syria as a prelude to the return of displaced populationg, according to reports on the Syrian official media .
The Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi said that Syrian government "allocated 30 billion Syrian Pounds ($150 million) for reconstruction projects for some areas to help people return in 2013."
"The total spending on relief work since 2012 reached so far more than 15 billion SP ($75 million dollars)," Halqi said, according to the official SANA news agency.
Halqi said the the government has secured the money in partnership with international and civil society organizations, because the government "is keen to secure a decent life for citizens inside Syria."
Halqi added that the government provides 976 temporary accommodation centers for those affected by the conflict, "and provides them with all the necessities, medical services and food baskets."
