Rebel Groups Declare: The Pilot’s Body in Exchange for Four Prisoners

Opposition factions have found the body of the pilot whose L39 aircraft was shot down by Turkish forces over Idleb.

The rebel groups rushed to demand the release of four prisoners who had fallen into the hands of the regime in exchange for handing over the body of the pilot. The pilot’s identity has not yet been revealed, but it was reported that a lieutenant fell to his death near the town of Beneen, which is controlled by opposition factions.

The prisoners are four young men, known to include Mahmoud Fayez al-Rahal, from Kafranbel. Their photos were published yesterday by the Russian ANNA News channel.
