Syria and Iraq Discuss Boosting Judicial Cooperation

The Iraqi Justice Minister, Farouq Ameen al-Shawani, discussed with the Syria’s Ambassador in Baghdad, Sattam Jadaan al-Dandah, means of cooperation and coordination between Syria and Iraq in different spheres, particularly justice and the judiciary. 

In a statement issued by the Iraqi Justice Ministry, Shawani highlighted the deeply-rooted relations between Syria and Iraq and the need for them to be boosted in a way that serves the interest of the two brotherly countries.

For his part, Dandah stressed the importance of the continued cooperation in all levels, particularly in legal and judicial spheres.

He pointed out that activating cooperation between the Syrian and Iraqi justice ministries and exchanging legal and judicial expertise is an important step, at a time when both countries are facing terrorism.
