Over 20 Civilians Martyred in Landmine Blast

The landmine, which killed over 20 people, was left by the Islamic State, and is an incident that has been experienced in other parts of the country reports SANA.

On Sunday, more than 20 civilians were martyred when a landmine exploded in the Wadi al-Azib area in Salamyiah countryside, Hama.

A source at Hama Police Command told SANA that the landmine, which was left behind by the Islamic State (ISIS), when a car carrying workers ran over the ordnance.

The source added that the bodies of the martyrs were admitted to Salamyiah and Hama hospitals.

On Feb. 8, 2019, seven civilians were martyred and others were injured in a similar incident near Rasm Ahmar village in Salamyiah eastern countryside, in Hama province.
