Suicide Attack Inside Salvation Government Building in Idleb

On Tuesday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and activists said that a woman blew herself up inside the headquarters of the National Salvation Government of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham in the city of Idleb, killing a number of people.

Rami Abdulrahman, Director of the Observatory, told Reuters that the explosion caused deaths but did not say how many.

Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham’s Abaa agency said that the suicide bomber, thought to be from the Islamic State, clashed with the building guards for a couple minutes and then blew herself up, killing and wounding a number of people.

Activists said that the woman was wearing an explosive belt and that she clashed with the building guards before she blew herself up.
