Enhancing Cooperation Between Syria and Indonesia Discussed

Minister of Awqaf (Religious Endowments), Mohammad Abdul-Sattar al-Sayyed, discussed with a religious delegation headed by the Chairman of Indonesian Ulema Council means of deepening the cooperation between Syria and Indonesia at the religious level and prospects of improving the relationship.

Al-Sayyed pointed to the role of the religious institutions in facing the conspiracy against Syria and raising awareness about the dangers of Takfiri thought by developing the religious discourse and curriculums in religious colleges and institutions.

For their part, the Indonesian delegates affirmed that their current visit to Syria aims to take advantage of Syria’s experience in combating extremist terrorist ideology and exchanging expertise in the religious work, hoping that safety and security will be restored all over the Syrian territories.
