Syria and North Korea Discuss Developing Parliamentary Relations

A delegation from the People’s Assembly discussed with members from the Supreme People’s Assembly of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) means of developing parliamentary relations between Syria and the DPRK.

Vice-Chairman of the Supreme People’s Assembly An Tong-Chun hailed the courageous positions of the Syrian people and their leadership in the fight against terrorism.

An Tong-Chan considered the visit of the Syrian delegation an example of the strength of the friendly relations between the two countries, stressing the importance of enhancing them via the Syrian DPRK Friendship Committee.

For his part, Deputy Speaker of the People’s Assembly Najdat Anzour said that Syria continues to work on three principles, which are eliminating terrorism, achieving national reconciliation and reconstructing what has been destroyed by terrorism.

The Syrian parliamentary delegation is currently on a visit to the DPRK which started on Tuesday and aims to bolster parliamentary relations between the two countries and benefit from the DPRK’s experience on various levels.
