Journalist Mustafa al-Ahmadi, known as "Abu Jaafer al-Halabi", who was detained last Wednesday by the Nusra Front in Aleppo has been tortured publicly.

There has been no news from Ahmadi since his capture by the Nusra Front Security Branch, according to activists.

Ahmadi is a Syrian journalist covering news in the north of the country, working on live broadcasts with Al-Jazeera in the Jarabulus area since the start of the uprising.

Meanwhile journalists Musaab al-Hamidi and Yilmaz Pasha are still detained after seven days by the Nusra Front in the in Tal-Abiadh area of Raqqa. Both are from Ras al-Ain in Hassakeh and were detained after they were accused of being close to the site of Brigade 17.
