A plane arrived at Damascus International Airport on Sunday from Russia carrying medical and relief aid for the Syrian people.
A member of Russia's Imperial Orthodox Palestinian Society and co-President of the Russian Society for Supporting the Syrian People, Oleg Fomin, said the aid includes advanced medical equipment such as respirators, sphygmomanometers, electro-cardiography equipment, beds, incubators, wheelchairs and other supplies.
In a statement following a meeting with the delegation accompanying the plane and the Social Affairs Minister Kinda al-Shammat, Fomin said that the aid shipment, like others before it, was organized by the two societies.
