The Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) warned the administration of the al-Ittihad private university in Raqqa that the school would be closed unless it enforced Islamic dress for females.
ISIS sent a letter to the university saying that the female students should wear the Islamic dress and that no part of their bodies should be seen except their faces and hands.
The university is studying the condition and will decide on Sunday, a source in the university said told the Syria News Office.
ISIS recently set up a checkpoint on the road to the university, close to Raqqa, where and many abuses have been reported.
