Opposition leader also says Khatib initiative lacks vision
Kilo Says Muslim Brotherhood Are Partners

In an interview with Madar al-Youm, Michel Kilo has described the Muslim Brotherhood as "our partners" in the Syrian National Rally, saying it is wrong to include the Muslim Brotherhood in any Arab country's list of terrorists.

Kilo stressed that he is unable to place the Muslims Brotherhood and the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) on the same list.

Kilo added that we must achieve a major settlement between all the parties, and the compromise suggested in the meetings of the General Commission should be a result of convictions, not quotas, "because the dispute hurts everyone".

As for the proposal of the international envoy, Staffan de Mistura, Kilo explained that the political solution is more than freezing the conflict in Aleppo, but has to do with the regime, not only to stop the explosive barrels in one region, it should be based on a basic condition that meets the demands of the Syrian people for freedom and the overthrow of the regime.

Kilo stressed that the political solution is not preventing the regime from shelling people, adding that the regime must be beheaded before the people, instead of being rewarded with a political solution.

Any political solution not based on the Geneva I statement is doomed to failure and rejection, he added.

Regarding the initiative of Mouaz al-Khatib, Kilo said the initiative is a "cry", and it was not within the framework of a national carrier, noting that Khatib presented a personal vision that lacks a clear path.
