Activists have said that a number of officers and soldiers have been killed in Al-Mastumah camp in the countryside of Idleb in a massive explosion inside the camp.
The explosion could be heard throughout the surrounding area located on the Idleb – Lattakia international highway.
A source from inside the camp confirmed that one of the officers was playing with a grenade when it exploded in his hand, which led to the explosion of quantities of ammunition in the room he was inside.
According to leaks from the National Hospital, where the wounded and the dead were taken after the explosion, the dead were named as:
Lieutenant Mohammed Dalloul from Tartous, Mohammed Mohsen Balqis from Jableh, Lieutenant Mahmoud Badr Youssef from Aleppo, Yamen Habib from the city of Ibta, Hossam Youssef Salhab from the village of Orm, Ali Fouad Salloum from the city of Aleppo, Hadi Hassan Ali from Beit Yashout.
The source said that the bodies were mutilated, and that some of them were buried in Idleb, while the remaining were transported to Tartous via helicopter.
