New Rocket Attacks Kill 5 Civilians in Damascus

A terrorist rocket attack targeted residential neighborhoods in the provinces of Damascus, Aleppo and Lattakia on Thursday, leaving five civilians dead and scores of others injured.

 

Rocket shells fired by terrorists positioned in Eastern Ghouta on residential neighborhoods killed five people in Damascus city, a source at Damascus Police Command told SANA.

 

The source noted that among the dead was a woman, who died at al-Mouwasat Hospital after succumbing to wounds sustained in the attacks, which also resulted in injuring at least 33 civilians, damaging houses and burning a number of cars.

 

A source at Damascus Hospital also confirmed that two dead bodies and 22 injured people, some of them in critical condition, arrived at the hospital.

 

In the northern city of Aleppo, terrorists in Bani Zaid neighborhood fired several rockets on Share’ al-Nill neighborhood, causing damage to houses, a market and more than 15 cars.

 

The residential al-Azhari area on the northwestern outskirts of Lattakia city was also hit in a rocket attack, wounding two other civilians.

 

A house and several cars parked in the area also sustained severe damage.
