Free Aleppo Province Opens Office of Civil Affairs

The Free Aleppo Province Directorate in Syria announced the opening of the Office of Civil Affairs in opposition-held areas of Aleppo and its countryside.

The announcement came during a meeting of the directorate in the town of Deir Jammal (north of Aleppo) on Tuesday, where leader of the Provincial Council Bashir Alito announced "the creation of the Directorate of Civil Affairs in Aleppo and its countryside in order to provide the citizens in the liberated areas with marriage documents, birth certificates and personal identifications".

Mohamed Fadel, a member of the executive office, said that "the directorate has founded civil affairs centers in the towns of Tal Rifaat, Darat Azza and al-Atareb in Aleppo’s countryside, and that these centers will be ready to serve citizens beginning March", noting that "the centers will allow citizens to obtain birth certificates, marriage contracts, death certificates and everything related to personal affairs".
