Fiscal Courts to be Established in All Provinces

President Bashar al-Assad issued a new law on Thursday establishing penal courts in all Syrian provinces. The courts will specialize in reviewing financial and economic lawsuits.

Minister of Justice Najim Hamad al-Ahmed stressed the importance of developing new measures and procedures to achieve financial security following an increase in economic crime over the past decade.

Minister al-Ahmed told SANA that the impacts of the war in Syria have created circumstances that require the reconstruction and the issuing of new legislation.
