ISIS Militants Flog Women for ‘Stealing’ from Own Homes

Women accused of theft flogged 30 times in Deir-ez-Zor

The Islamic State (ISIS) has flogged two Syrian women accused of theft in the eastern province of Deir-ez-Zor, according to footage posted online by local activists Saturday.

Activists said the women, who were flogged 30 times each, had been accused of stealing from the group after attempting to retrieve items from their own homes, which had previously been seized by ISIS militants.
