Free Syrian Army (FSA) fighters have repelled a regime army attack on the southern neighborhoods of Daraa city, field sources said Monday.
Al-Tawhid Brigade, an FSA unit, thwarted the attack carried out by the regime army to recapture the 'Old Customs' district south of the city.
Clashes also erupted in Daraa’s Old City early Monday in al-Manshiya neighborhood as aerial and ground missiles targeted the area.
The southern Daraa province is the main Syrian territory without an significant Islamic State presence.
