U.S.-Led Coalition Massacre Kills 12 Civilians in Hassakeh

A dozen people from one family killed in strike on the southeastern countryside of the province, government outlet reports

A U.S.-led coalition airstrike on Monday night killed 12 people from one family in the Tal al-Shayer area, near the Syrian-Iraqi border in the Hassakeh countryside, according to sources.

The massacre is yet another example of the crimes committed by Washington and its allies, who formed the so-called international coalition against the Islamic State (ISIS) outside the jurisdiction of the United Nations Security Council.

On June 14, coalition aircrafts launched airstrikes on a water crossing on the Euphrates River east of Deir-ez-Zor city, killing three civilians.

Earlier, on June 9, coalition planes also carried out 25 airstrikes using internationally banned weapons on the western outskirts of Raqqa, killing 17 people.
