Assad Family Tours Hama Countryside

President Bashar al-Assad and his family have visited a number of wounded army personnel in their home villages in the Hama countryside.

The first family met with Ahmad Khalil in the village of Tal Aafar and Fatir Mansour in the village of Rabou. The two wounded soldiers are currently receiving assistance from the Jarih al-Watan (Injured of the Homeland) program to start their own projects.

In Matna village, President Assad and his family visited Ahmad Mohammad al-Ali, who is currently raising livestock with the help of the program.

The Jarih al-Watan program was launched by the Syrian presidency in 2014 to offer support to wounded soldiers and help with rehabilitation, including providing prosthetics to the injured and assistance in starting projects.
