Two Turkish soldiers were killed and three others were injured in an attack carried out in the de-escalation zone in the Idleb province, Northern Syria, the Defense Ministry said Saturday. The Daily Sabah reported that the attack targeted a vehicle of Turkish soldiers returning after a search mission according to the ministry.

The Israeli Foreign Minister, Yair Lapid, has lashed out at Iran over its military presence in Syria after meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Moscow. According to Asharq al-Awsat, Lapid agreed with Lavrov to launch a coordination mechanism to enhance military understanding between Moscow and Tel Aviv. He said there wouldn’t be stability in Syria, or the broader Middle East, as long as Iran is present. He called Tehran “the world’s number one exporter of terror.” He added that Israel will not “sit quietly by while Iran builds terror bases on our northern border or while Iran supplies advanced weapons to terror organizations.”
A Russian serviceman was killed in a blast targeting an armored vehicle within a humanitarian convoy in Syria’s Homs province, Russian state news agency TASS reported on Thursday, citing the Russian defense ministry, Asharq Al-Awsat reported.
