At least 300 Arab and Turkmen villagers from Hammam et-Turkmen arrived in Turkey after fleeing Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) forces.
The Syrians sought asylum from the Turkish authorities on the border, to be transferred to Akcakale Security Directorate in Urfa province, bordering Syria.
One of the refugees, Abdul Hamid Ahmad said: "The PYD told us to evacuate our villages, so we were forced to flee to Turkey".
The joint forces of the Kurdish People Protection Units and factions of the Free Syrian Army, backed by air support from the US-led international coalition, recently seized nearby Tal Abyad on June 15, following fighting with ISIS.
