Iraqi Defense Minister Juma Inad discussed with Syria’s Ambassador to Iraq, Sattam Jadaan al-Dandah, the bilateral relations between Syria and Iraq in different domains and means to enhance and develop them particularly in the field of military cooperation.
The Iraqi Defense Ministry said in a statement that the, “two sides discussed the bilateral relations and means to enhance them to serve in the best interest of the two brotherly countries.”
In a statement to SANA’s reporter in Baghdad after the meeting, Dandah said that, “Syria and Iraq are keen to develop relations and to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries in fields of eliminating terrorism, protecting the Syrian-Iraqi borders and preventing the infiltration of terrorists to the two sides, in addition to the informational cooperation through the quadripartite Syrian-Iraqi-Russian-Iranian coordination center.”
