People’s Assembly Discusses Draft Law on Children’s Rights

The People’s Assembly discussed on Monday a report submitted by the constitutional and legislative committees about the draft law on children’s rights.

During the session, several members of the People’s Assembly stressed the importance of the promotion of children’s rights, as well as social and healthcare for both mothers and children, and protecting them from exploitation or trafficking per international conventions and laws related to children’s rights.

The State guarantees the protection of motherhood and childhood and gives them special care. It works to create the necessary conditions for the upbringing of the child in an environment that guarantees respect for freedom, human dignity, and moral, social, and national values. It works to provide appropriate assistance and supports activities related to childhood issues.
