Members of the National Dialogue Follow-up Committee on Wednesday met to review the outcome of its sub-committees’ work during the latest period.
In a statement, the committee stressed that the solution in Syria lies in pan-Syrian dialogue on the Syrian soil, calling on all patriotic Syrians inside and outside Syria to come back and take part in the national efforts to solve all crises through dialogue.
The committee affirmed that the victories which were achieved by the Syrian Arab Army in restoring security to several areas have foiled the main plot of targeting Syria’s unity and sovereignty.
The committee recognized the reconciliation efforts which are taking place in several areas as a “tolerant national method that proves commitment to protect the homeland.”
It added that the huge popular participation in the presidential elections proved that the Syrian people are committed to their independent decision in giving confidence to the one who they want.
The committee held the National Dialogue Forum in Damascus on March 24 and 25, 2013 in Damascus. The forum included some 700 national personalities and they agreed on the possibility of solving the crisis in Syria through Syrian-Syrian dialogue.
