Homs Locals Determined to Reconstruct Old City

Residents of Homs' Old City are continuing to return to their neighborhoods, after the army put an end to 2-years of terrorists' control over the area.

The majority of locals said they believed that they will make the city better than it was, calling upon authorities to restore services as soon as possible.

They expressed gratitude to the army for expelling the terrorists and restoring security and stability to the area, adding that Homs was an exemplar of amity among its people before the Gulf-sponsored terrorism destroyed and sabotaged it, stressing that they will build their houses again.

The Head of Homs Communications Directorate, Kanan Jouda, said that the communication infrastructure will be rehabilitated as soon as possible, adding that many communication service buildings will resume its routine work this week.

For his part, Head of Homs Water Directorate Hassan Hamydan said that maintenance teams are working on fixing pipelines and damaged water grids in downtown Homs, vowing to restore functional networks quickly.
