Najeeb Ansari, a local Civil Defense official, told Turkey’s Anadolu News Agency that regime helicopters had targeted al-Bayan hospital and a nearby market with three barrel bombs, killing 15 civilians including five Civil Defense members, while injuring another 20 others.

Ansari said that women and children died during the bombing, which caused heavy damage to to the hospital and set fire to many nearby cars and houses.

The Aleppo Media Centre reported that many people were killed and the al-Bayan hospital was destroyed. A video published by media activist Hadi al-Abdullah showed the scale of destruction in addition to the attempts to lift the bodies from beneath the rubble.

On his Facebook account, Abdullah posted that regime forces committed a horrible massacre that left many dead and injured when helicopters targeted al-Bayan hospital in Al-Shaar neighborhood. He said that the hospital is now completely out of service.

Abdullah said that Civil Defense members, paramedics and patients were among the dead.
