The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that more than 3,216 people, including women and children, have been killed in the US-led coalition air raids in Syrian territory, the vast majority of which are fighters of the Islamic State (ISIS).
The report covers the period from the start of the international military operation against ISIS in September 2014 until July 2015.
The Observatory said that among the total human losses were 173 civilians, including 53 children under the age of 18, and 35 women over the age of 18, killed in the provinces of Hassakeh, Raqqa, Aleppo, Idleb and Deir-ez-Zor.
The Observatory added that 64 civilians were killed in the massacre committed by coalition aircrafts in the village of Bir Mahli, located near the town of Sarrin in the south of Ayn al-Arab (Kobani) in the province of Aleppo.
The Observatory said that 2,927 ISIS fighters – the majority non-Syrians – were killed in the air strikes on Hama, Aleppo, Homs, Hassakeh, Raqqa and Deir-ez-Zor provinces, including dozens of leaders from Syrian, Arab and foreign nationalities, most notably Deir-ez-Zor Governor Abu Osama al-Iraqi, Hassakeh Governor Amer ar-Rafdan and Abu Sayyaf.
At least 115 Nusra Front fighters were also killed in the strikes carried out by the coalition in the countryside of Aleppo and Idleb, most notably Mohsen al-Fadhli, Abu Hammam, Abu Omar al-Kurdi, Abu Hamza al-Faransi and Abu Qatada at-Tunisi.
The Observatory noted that the casualties among ISIS and other Islamic factions are likely more than those documented, as ISIS does not publicize its human losses.
