Syria and Oman have signed an agreement to expand cooperation in the oil and gas fields, following a visit by Syria’s Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Ali Ghanem to the Gulf state.
He said that the agreement will set a solid basis for future cooperation, particularly during the reconstruction stage, and will help Syria benefit from Omani expertise in various domains within the oil industry.
The minister added that his meetings with Omani officials touched upon nationalization of Syria’s oil industry, as well as expertise exchange and training.
