Syria has strongly condemned US-South Korean joint military exercises and propaganda targeting North Korea.
“Syria has been following with concern the latest developments in the Korean peninsula,” said the Foreign Ministry in a statement.
The statement also mentioned Seoul’s cross-border “provocations” were “aimed at disrupting [North Korea’s] security and stability.”
Syria, the statement said, demands that these military exercises and provocations be immediately halted, “in order to keep war and loss of security and stability away from the Korean peninsula, which, should they happen, would affect the security and stability of the entire world.”
The statement voiced Syria’s complete solidarity with the people and leadership of North Korea.
