Terrorists of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) have exploded Sheikh al-Rawi Tekkiye center, a well-known historical site, in al-Sheikh Yaseen neighborhood in Deir-ez-Zor.
The bombing comes after a series of ISIS attacks on a number of Islamic and Christian sites inside Syria.
Civil sources told SANA that the Tekkiye, dating back to the 19th Century, was booby-trapped with a large quantity of explosives, resulting in its complete destruction.
Sheikh al-Rawi Tekkiye was built in 1886, as a center for teaching and worship.
