Syrian regime forces have made rapid advances in western countryside of Aleppo province, taking control of three villages as an Islamist rebel group retreated over infighting with the Mujahedeen Army, well-informed sources told Zaman al-Wasl.
The al-Towba brigade was attacked by the Mujahedeen Army over accusations of links with the Al-Qaeda-splinter group the Islamic State (IS).
Sources said that the owba brigade threatened to withdraw its fighters form western villages what may give Assad’s forces a chance to make more gains.
Analysts predict the fall of Aleppo unless all rebel factions find a solution for its discords and make efforts to reunite again in one armed body.
