Militants of Al Qaeda splinter group, the State of Iraq and Sham (ISIS) have reportedly crucified a man in Raqqa in northern Syria after shooting him in the head.
Activists said the man had been accused by the radical group of theft and deliberate murder. ISIS justified the man's killing and crucifixion as implementing one of Islam principles, which is 'Kisas' or the retribution.
ISIS, which is mainly composed of foreign fighters, is widely considered the most radical of the groups fighting President Bashar al-Assad, and is also engaged in a violent struggle with rival Islamist rebels.
