President Bashar al-Assad on Tuesday issued Decree No. 13 for 2013 on appointing Fawaz Ali al-Saleh as governor of Deir Ezzor province.
President al-Assad also issued Decree No. 14 for 2013 nominating Safwan Suleiman Abu Saadi as governor of Idleb province.

Background
The two cities above are out of the control of the Syrian regime. SANA did not elaborate on the reasons behind replacing the old governors. Deir Ezzor Former Governor was appointed in July 2011, after huge demonstrations overwhelmed the city.
