Syria’s Prime Minister Wael al-Halki stressed the need to adopt alternative energy projects and improve services in unregulated housing areas.
During a Cabinet session held on Tuesday, the PM asserted that the government is interested in making the transition to alternative energy sources, including solar and wind power.
Halki called for infrastructure services to be provided to Lattakia’s industrial zone, urging localized investments to accommodate a large number of projects.
He also reiterated that the government had begun maintenance and repair work on the Salamiya-Ethraia-Aleppo-Khanasser road as soon as it was secured by the army, while increasing efforts to provide food, supplies, electricity, drinking water, and communications to Aleppo city.
