On Sunday, Syrian Arab Army’s units established control over two towns and a hill in Hama’s northern countryside and Idleb’s southern countryside, after fierce clashes with Jabhat al-Nusra and their affiliated groups.
A military source told SANA that armed forces established full control over the towns of Tel Skik, Skik and al-Habbit, after fierce battles against the armed terrorist organizations that were positioned there.
Earlier, army units continued their operations in several direction against Jabhat al-Nusra and the al-Izzah Brigades and other terrorists groups, and achieved fresh progress in Idleb’s southern countryside.
SANA’s reporter in Hama said that army units carried out rocket and artillery strikes on the terrorist’s fortified positions in the surroundings of al-Habbit town in Idleb’s southern countryside, adjacent to the administrative border of the northern Hama countryside, and then engaged in fierce clashes with the terrorist groups, which include thousands of foreign mercenaries.
The clashes resulted in the elimination of the last remnants of the terrorists in the town, after inflicting heavy losses upon them, while the remaining fled towards their positions deep in the de-escalation zone, in particular, towards the city of Khan Sheikhoun.
