The head of Tartous Industry, Ammar Ali, said that 28 industrial facilities started production in the first half of the current year with a capital of 383 million Syrian pounds and they created 136 job opportunities.
Ali added that 14 facilities were opened in the chemical sector, nine facilities in the food sector and five facilities in the engineering sector.
Ali said that the number of the craft facilities opened during this period reached about 52 facilities with a capital of 148 billion pounds and that they provided 117 job opportunities.
He indicated that most of the opened facilities were in the industrial and service domains.
